Raymond Vasquez and Brent Bridges edge out Richard Martinez and Mike Flynn
With just two pins separating first and second place going into game eight, most eyes were on Raymond Vasquez, Brent Bridges, Richard Martinez, and Mike Flynn. When all bowling was done Brent and Raymond won the battle besting Richard and Mike 434 to 415. Overall, Raymond and Brent wrapped the day up with a 3621 pinfall total leaving them at +421 over taking their first Outlaw Doubles title. Richard and Mike finished their day at 3605, +405. Third place belonged to Keith Pridegon and Marchael Kelly with a pinfall of 3530. Grabbing the last cashing spot for the day was Paul Herrera and Norm Palomeres at 3445. I would like to thank all of those that participated and made our fifth Outlaw doubles a success.
On the singles side, Brent Bridges rolled 1840 to take the title for the singles portion of the tournament. Paul Herrera and Keith Pridgeon, with 1796 and 1783 respectively, to finish second and third.
Individual performances also made their mark on the day, Mike Flynn shot 805 in games 4-6 of the tournament, rolling 257, 248 and putting the finishing touches on the series with a 300 game. Raymond Vasquez unloaded 11 in a row for a 299 game in game 5. Tom Burlingame shot 279 in his final game of the day. Kevin Mecham shot 277 and Dylan Kulbochi shot 276 in game 7.
Other notable performances include our champions with a 567 game in game 5 of their run. Roger Rogelio and Tom Burlingame that combined for a 526 game in game 8 and Cid Blueford and Robert Smith combined for a 503 series in game 1.
